Sheepskin coat is a very large expenditure in old time style and deep warmth. It is built to last many years. It is hard to change because it is made of leather fastened to plush wool. The hide or the lining can be harmed by the ordinary tailoring. Our studio provides the special alteration of sheepskin done by skilled workers who have the appropriate tools and attention to alter your coat retaining its worth and appearance.
We begin with a critical and searching examination of the coat. Leather is everlasting and we tell you what can and cannot be done. Relocating keyholes or buttonholes is visible and huge enlargements are not typically feasible. The changes we can do include:
Sleeve Shortening at the Shoulder- this retains the cuff and wool edge. We remove the sleeve cap and then reassemble it in a manner that it also moves well.
Body Tapering-this causes the coat to be tighter on the sides. We sew and sew with heavy thread and thin the leather seam. The wool within is hand mixed to ensure you feel smooth on your skin.
Hem Shortening– this removes the length of the coat but retains the initial hem finish. It is delicate work that maintains the balance of the coat.
We are proud to apply methods that do not violate the luxury of the coats. We adopt special leather needles, clamps which leave no imprint, industrial sewing machines when using heavy material. All the seams are opened, clipped, and strengthened. We did not cut the wool with a scissor, then you see a line. We instead trim and feather it by hand to retain the feel of its softness.
Our future is to send your sheepskin to us. The finish is a clean, custom-like fit that allows you to enjoy its great warmth without it being in a bad shape. your coat will be a wonderful coat several winters. We are going to approach it in the manner it deserves to be approached and we are going to master its special difficulties to present to you a fit as special as its coat itself.
