A jacket is lined which is the unseen bottom that allows the jacket to slide on and off and also makes it appear nice. This interior may wear, tear, or crack with the passage of time making your favourite jacket a frustrating experience. When the lining is worn, we meticulously replace it to make your jacket very comfortable, powerful, and durable over many years.
We begin by examining the construction of the jacket. We cheque the outside cover and the inner canvas to find out they are still good. We then present to you a variety of solid lining materials, such as cupro which is tough and smooth, bright and printed rayon, or soft habotai silk. It is an opportunity to fix and customise, choosing a lining that gives it colour or pattern that is more your style.
The relining work is skillful. We have our tailors who dismantle the old lining and use it as a pattern to the new one. Each new panel is pasted into the jacket by hand in order to make it straight and light. Then they permanently sew the new inner lining and all pockets, sleeve details and ventilation. The jacket completed is fresh inside and maintains the good shape and usage outside.
Purchasing a reline is an intelligent and environmental friendly decision on a good jacket. It is not just a mere fix, but it gives the relationship between you and the garment a new start. It can be a blazer, trench coat or vintage, but any jacket you trust us to reline will feel comfortable and luxurious once more, and your jacket will continue to form an important part of your wardrobe in many more ways.
